Enhanced Jira Query Tool v1.6 Now Available
Updates and Additions
oAuth 1.0A Support
The Query Tool now supports oAuth 1.0A authorization. This is a more secure mechanism for making Jira REST API calls than username and password. It does however require more configuration in both the EJQT and Jira. It will also require that you have Jira admin privileges in order to configure Jira. You can find more details regarding the necessary Jira configuration on my oAuth Dancing With Jira And Apps Scripts post. oAuth 2.0 is currently not supported for Jira REST API access by 3rd party applications. The latest version is available on the Agile Creatives Tools page.
A number of people have asked about support for using the EJQT in SSO/SAML environments. There is technically nothing that prevents the query tool from working in single sign-on environments. The administrator of your SSO tool/service will need to make sure that the SSO service has been configured to allow calls to the Jira REST API. The specific steps to do that will vary by SSO provider.
